Thanks for this article. As a mother of a recent high school graduate, I know young adults feel a tremendous amount of pressure as to their next steps. Some already know what they want to do, and are crossing off things as they go. So many, though, feel like that should know, but don’t. I think articles like yours help young adults to see the bigger picture. They are no longer on the conveyor belt of milestone achievements. There are no “right” or “wrong” next steps. Timelines are arbitrary. Their lives are their own and they literally have a lifetime to make them what they want. It’s a great reminder for us older adults as well. :)
