Hi Brenda,
I love the quote as well. I think we often feel self-indulgent when we take time to figure out who we are and what we’re here to do. But when we take that time and stop playing small, we show up differently in the world and others will benefit from our confidence and passion.
I think managing our thoughts is a daily practice (for newbies to this practice like me, thought by thought). The more we practice, the sooner we’ll be able to sense our destructive thought patterns and head them off.
I once heard a life coach liken this to “supervising” your brain. I can definitely tell when I’ve left my thoughts “unsupervised” for awhile. ;-)
Thanks so much for your comments!
