Why You Need An Emergency Motivation Plan

Some mornings I wake up and can’t wait to start the day.

These are the days I smile when the alarm goes off and Tigger-bounce out of bed.

I’m up and moving and the day starts seamlessly.

This post is not for those days.

This post is specifically for when you can’t get yourself moving and and you’re at risk for ending the day having accomplished nothing you need or want to do.

When you’re having one of these days, it’s important to take a moment and ask yourself what your mind and body might be telling you.

Have you been going a hundred miles an hour? Have you been getting to bed late? Are you working through something particularly trying in your work or personal life?

If so, it’s possible your body needs some additional rest and might benefit from an extra hour or so of sleep.

Sometimes, though, the lethargy and listlessness is related to depression.

And those of us who have lived with depression for some time know that pervasive, sinking feeling all too well.

It weighs you down like a heavy blanket and immobilizes your body.

You may feel apathy toward consequences even though you’re normally conscientious.
